The Support Center for AnyTone Tech Radios. Our Software is designed for Windows Operating Systems. Mac OSX and Linux users are recommended to use a Virtual Machine to run our Windows programming software. Jan 26, 2019  The AnyTone AT-D878UV is a dual band analog FM and DMR (tier I and II) portable radio, it supports APRS, DMR Roaming and DPRS. This radio is designed for amateur radio. Plus, it has a lot of cool features, it’s easy to program and used via it’s keypad.

Programming Software &
General notes on firmware upgrading:
  • Firmware updates do not need to be applied in order. You can skip right to the latest working firmware update.
  • Normally each firmware update will also include a new version of programming software.
  • All radios shipped will have the latest updates installed that were available on the date of shipping.
General notes on installing programming software:

Some antivirus software will give a false-positive warning when downloading or installing programming software.
The following procedure is a workaround for Kaspersky Antivirus and other brands of antivirus should be similar.

Install WD My Cloud App for Mac: Open the App Store and search for My Cloud. Select the WD My Cloud Desktop App and click the Download icon to install it on your Mac computer.

  1. Turn the antivirus software off while downloading or installing the programming software
  2. Install the programming software
  3. Open the 'settings' or 'tools' window for the antivirus software, but do not re-activate its protection yet
  4. You should find a way to add an 'exception' so that a particular program will not be scanned by the antivirus software
  5. Use Google to search for 'name-of-your-antivirus-software' + 'add an exception' if you need help figuring it out
  6. You will add exceptions for the .exe files in the folder where your programming software was installed
  7. If done correctly, your antivirus will ignore the programming software when you run it
  8. Remember to turn your antivirus software back on after adding the exceptions

A USB cable driver required for AT-D868UV and/or AT-D878UV radios

If you have not already done so, download and install this driver BEFORE connecting your radio to your computer. Select x86 for 32-bit systems or select x64 for 64-bit systems. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD

Digital Contact List from RadioID.net
The RadioID.net website has stopped providing the Digital Contact List in the CSV file format. The file format is now JSON.
To quickly convert a .json file to a .csv file you can use Digital ID List Converter.
1) Extract Digital ID List Converter.zip to a folder 2) Run the JsonToCsv.exe
3) Click on Convert, it will allow you open a .json file 4) Click on Save, it will save to a .csv file

To check the current version of your firmware, press MENU, scroll down to SETTINGS, press SELECT, scroll to FIRMWARE VER to see the number of your firmware. Press BACK three times to exit the screen. If your version number is less than the latest version shown below, you should upgrade to the latest version.

Note: you need to alter the DMR Radio ID plus Name and APRS callsign, they are set to invalid values. And if you get a Mode Error: my D787UV/D578UV are set to MODE:0000 (change by powering up while holding PTT and 1 on the D878UV and the Channel knob and P4 on the D578UV). If you get a file version error, please update to the latest CPS version (which you can find for download at the bottom of this page).

My codeplug has

  • all Dutch DMR repeaters, each in its own zone.
  • all Belgian Brandmeister DMR repeaters, each in its own zone.
  • all German Brandmeister DMR repeaters, each in its own zone
  • all Dutch 2m/70cm analog repeaters, in two zones
  • all Belgian 2m/70cm repeaters, in one zone
  • all German 2m/70cm repeaters, to add to own zone (they do not fit in one zone per Bundesland in most cases..)
  • a Simplex zone with 8 DMR channels (TS 1/TG99, receiving TG1/44/99), 7 analog channels
  • a PMR446 zone, with general, Kenwood and Icom PMR446 sets. Make sure using these zones for TX is legal in your country.
  • some commercial/maritime/fire channels

This will fill 2000+ channels and about 170 zones. As a bonus all DMR contacts are also in the codeplug.
